Make 2025 your healthiest year yet with these things to make feeling your best easy!

As the new year approaches, excitement builds around fresh starts and healthy resolutions. The possibility of transformation can be both thrilling and a little daunting. If you want to make 2025 your healthiest year yet, gear up to embrace practical tools that will support you on your wellness journey.


In this post, I share some of my favorite things to help you feel your best. From advanced fitness equipment to valuable community resources, there are plenty of options to consider. Let’s jump in!


Make Accountability Easy

Technology makes keeping yourself active and accountable easy. There are so many devices and apps to help you on your fitness journey.


Of course longstanding favorites like the Apply Watch come with a myriad of features designed to help you stay active as does the iPhone which in addition to their included health apps have options for many other IOS apps to make tracking steps, calories and weight simple but there are many other options some with much lower price tags that accomplish the same (like the FitBit which is currently under $150, SKG smart watch which is now under $60 for Android and iPhone) .


Also finding additional items to make your health journey easy (and fun) can keep you on task and help you fulfil your goals. Tracking your weight can significantly impact your health journey. An electric scale with app connectivity does more than just display a number; it allows you to monitor trends over time, giving you insight into your progress.

With an accompanying app, you can easily access your weight history, receive personalized insights, and set manageable goals. For instance, a study found that people who regularly tracked their weight lost an average of 1-2 pounds per week, compared to those who did not. This instant feedback can be crucial for adjusting your fitness plan.


Many of these scales also measure body composition, including fat and muscle percentages. This comprehensive data gives you a fuller view of your health, beyond just weight.

I love my digital scale that connects to an app and my watch to help me track my weight and so much more. I personally find it much easier than using Apple Health too and the scale is just easy and makes weighing in simple.


Make Exercising Safer

Some exercises are a great way to get in some cardio, burn calories, build muscle and work towards your fitness goals. But if you're like me... they can also present a bit of a risk (oh, the fun of being over 40!). So whether your knees can't take the impact or you worry about a fall or the Florida weather keeps you inside more than you'd like... I've found alternatives to some of my once favorite exercises that are a great way to get the benefits without leaving my house.

Cycling is an excellent form of exercise but allergies and extreme heat makes if a challenge some days.

Things like a small and collapsible stationary bike saves you time and space and helps you get cycling in a more controlled environment. I love the STEALTH GAME CYCLE: Full-Body Workout X-Bike because it gives you so many levels of workout and it includes an app with games to help make exercising fun and adding a new layer to the challenge. It's compact and fun but if space is a concern you can go smaller and still get the benefits of a big work out with smaller equipment.

A small stair step machine is a fantastic solution, offering an efficient workout that fits comfortably in smaller spaces. Using a stair step machine engages your leg muscles and provides a solid aerobic exercise. You can easily fit in a workout session while watching TV or working from home. According to a 2021 fitness report, using step machines can burn between 200-300 calories per hour depending on intensity.


Not only does this stepping routine improve cardiovascular health, but it can also elevate your mood and boost your energy levels throughout the day. Plus... if like me you may tend to be prone to falls... you're not rolling down a few flights putting you off your fitness game for a while while you recover.


Make Exercise More Convenient

For those who spend long hours sitting, at a desk whether at home or work, equipment you can use while you work makes exercising so easy and I've found it makes the work go by much quicker.


If space allows an under the desk treadmill provides fantastic benefits. While some come with a shelf or can have desk attachments purchased separately, these low profile treadmills easily fit under standing desks and are versatile enough to be used when you aren't working and then easily store when not in use.

Regular walking can lead to numerous health benefits including improved cardiovascular health, better mood, and enhanced focus. A consistent walking pace of just 2 miles per hour can help burn about 100 calories every 30 minutes.


If you can't use a standing desk, don't have a lot of space or work doesn't allow a larger set up, an under the desk elliptical machine is an excellent and more compact addition to your workspace. This equipment allows you to pedal while you work, encouraging movement throughout your day.

Incorporating this exercise combats the negative effects of prolonged sitting, such as reduced circulation and increased stress. Research shows that individuals who incorporate short bursts of activity during work can improve focus and productivity by up to 20% so that's a win/win.


With an under desk elliptical, you can stay active without stepping away from your responsibilities, making it a clever tool to enhance your wellness routine.
