Kiwanis StoryWalk

Families enjoying a walk while reading books.
Kiwanis StoryWalk

This is a fantastic program that Tampa Bay Moms Group is so grateful to be a part of.

With the help of the Kiwanis StoryWalk committee we have selected books that we hope will take you and your family on a fun reading adventure at one of the participating parks. Books that display and promote diversity, inclusion, creativity, imagination, and more! We hope you join us at the Ribbon Cutting on May 18th at the Carrollwood Village Park and enjoy a walk and a story!

Read & Walk Together!

Kiwanis StoryWalk® is an initiative from The Kiwanis Club of Tampa to encourage literacy and exercise for children. StoryWalk® displays a storybook along a walking path page-by-page. In order to read the story, families will walk the path and read along.

The original Kiwanis StoryWalk® in Al Lopez was funded, installed, and continues to be maintained by The Kiwanis Club of Tampa. The literacy program has been expanded into four new parks and is generously funded by the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County.

Kiwanis StoryWalk is located at the following parks:

Kiwanis volunteers change out the stories each month! The Kiwanis StoryWalk® is be bilingual, with stories displayed in both English and Spanish and best for children age 7 and under.
